Museum Acquisition:
The Mint Museum (Charlotte, NC) acquired Bubblewrap (2008) as part of the permanent collection of Craft and Design in the fall of 2016.

Major Journal Publication: An article describing my novel creative process was published in Leonardo. Leonardo is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the MIT Press covering the application of contemporary science and technology to the arts and music. The acceptance rate for this issue was approximately 9%.

Invitational Museum Exhibition: I was invited to create new work for the group exhibition New York Silver: Then & Now at the Museum of the City of New York. The exhibition was on display from June 2017 - June 2018.

Artist-in-Residence: I was invited to be Artist in Residence at Vassar College in the Creative Arts Across Disciplines program. I was in residence there for two months creating new work with my collaborator and mentoring two student projects.

Invitational Museum Exhibition: I was invited to participate in the exhibition Made for You: A New Direction in Contemporary Design with a new installation in 2016 at the Dorsky Museum of Art in New Paltz, NY by curator Jennifer Scanlan.

Invitational Solo Exhibitions: I was invited, based on previous relationship with the gallery, to have two exhibitions of new work running August 4 - October 27, 2018 and October 5 - December 1, 2018.

Juried Solo Exhibition: I was selected to exhibit in a small gallery space in Missoula, MT through a competitive review process. There were 40 applications and 6 artists were selected.

Competitive Chair Position for International Organization: I was selected to serve as the Emerging Technologies chair for the 2019 SIGGRAPH conference. In this role I will present a talk and on a panel at the Digital Content Association of Japan (DCAJ) Expo, as part of Inter BEE 2018. I will also be visiting LAVAL Virtual (France) in March 2019.

Juried Group Exhibition: Modern Dowry teapot was accepted for exhibition in Craft Forms exhibition at the Wayne Craft Center. Craft Forms was juried by Perry Allen Price, Executive Director of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. There were 827 works reviewed and 109 selected (13% acceptance rate). This is “research in progress” as the exhibition dates are December 7, 2018 to January 26, 2019.

Invitational Panel Participant: I was invited to participate in a panel discussion at SIGGRAPH 2017 (Los Angeles) and SIGCSE 2018 (Baltimore) titled “Curriculum Matters: Melding Art and Computer Science.”

Invited Participant in Computing in the Arts Workshops: (2014, 2015, and 2016) held at Wake Forest University, College of Charleston, and University of North Carolina - Asheville. Funded by the National Science Foundation.
